Future OS standard - 21st May 2005

Future OS standard: Telcordia, Lucent, Nortel, Siemens, and Cramer are teaming to jointly address the need of operations system (OS) interface standardization. They will unveil soon the Multi-Technology Operations Systems Interface (MTOSI). This is a unified, open interface standard for use between operations systems to support network and service management. The MTOSI model extends the MTNM interface to OS-OS interactions and will support network as well as service management. It is an important move as most operators are struggling cutting opex and need to integrate numerous OS systems.
