BT announced strong FY05 results. Revenues were £18.6bn and pre-tax profit was £2.1bn. Traditional BT business declined 9% (BT only has a 62% market share in the UK), and BT Retail revenue fell 5%, while its Global Services division post its first ever operating profit(thanks to the takeovers of Radianz, Infonet and Albacom), and BT Wholesale revenue increased 1%.

 

O2 reported revenues of £ 6.7bn, up 18%, EBITDA of £1.8bn, up 29%, and operating profit of £755m, up 74%.

 

Megafon (Russia) posted 1Q05 revenues of $182m, up 45%, while its net profit fell 16% to $34m. For 2004, Megafon reported revenues of $665m, up 38%, and net profit of $112m, down 15%.
