EU to co-fund broadband projects 05-14-05

Europe:
EU commission has decided to clear public co-funding for broadband infrastructure in rural areas. The first file, allowed by the Commission, concerns the Limousin, a French region, and is worth €85m. This ruling, potentially important, will certainly speed broadband access in rural regions and make urban and rural citizens more equal.
