India in the space 05-14-05

India: an Indian rocket has simultaneously launched two satellites on orbit. With this launch, India becomes a member of the very select club of countries able to launch two satellites simultaneously. It also reinforces the Indian position in satellite launching capacity. The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) rocket is 44 m high, and will be used for a lunar flight and landing by 2007.
