Siemens will supply 3G infra to Tele2 Lithuania. Siemens is providing all of the Baltic countries with W-CDMA network technology for Tele2.

LG-Nortel, a joint venture of LG Electronics and Nortel, is supplying South Korean KTF with HSDPA technology.

Nokia has been awarded a managed services and 3G/HSPA network deal by mobily, a brand of Etihad Etisalat Company (EEC), in Saudi Arabia. It won a $30m HSDPA contract with MobileOne (Singapore). It received a $150m order from Henan Mobile (China) to expand the GSM and GPRS networks.

Motorola has been picked up by Teliasonera to deploy UMA service. UMA will use a WLAN network in the home to offer cheaper mobile calls, as well as offer mobile coverage outside the home. Motorola has also won a network expansion and optimisation contract with Etisalat (UAE),

Visage Mobile, a MVNE company, has been awarded the contract to support Embarq's MVNO wireless service offering.

Nortel has been tapped by Verizon Wireless to provide 1X EV-DO Revision A technology.

Alactel announced a contract for €50m worth of GSM and NGN kit with Chinese operator Jilin Mobile.

Ericsson will upgrade Bite's 3G network with HSDPA in Lithuania and Latvia.

Huawei will supply 3G UMTS/ HSDPA gear to eMobile in Japan.
