ZTE announced a profit warning as 1H profits would drop. Shares dropped more than 5%.

Lucent has lowered its financial expectations for the 2nd quarter. Decreased revenues in China were also cited as part of Lucent’s revenue shortfall.

Alcatel expects to report 2Q06 sales up around 7.5% to €3.4bn.

Sony Ericsson has reported its 2Q06 results: profits up 91% to €143m and sales up 41% to €2.3bn. It shipped 15.7m units, up 33%.

Samsung Electronics posts net profit down 11% to €1.1bn in 2Q06, while sales grew 4% to €11.7bn. Operating income fell 14%. Handsets sales fell 4% yoy and 8% qoq.

IBM reports $2bn profit in 2Q, up 10%, on sales of $22bn, down 2%.

Huawei expects to end the year with $10bn in orders (+22%);

Ericsson reported its 2Q06 net profit of $778m, down 2%, on revenues of $6bn, up 15%.

Freescale reported 2Q06 net sales of $1.6bn, up 8.5%, of which 1/3 in Wireless and Mobile Solutions segment.

Broadcom posted 2Q net revenue of $941m, an increase of 4.5%.

Motorola reports a 48% increase in net earnings to $1.4bn, on revenues up 29% to $10.9bn (of which $7.1bn in mobile phones, +46%).

ADC lowers its sales expectations. Sales are now expected to be between $1.28bn and $1.3bn.

Nokia reported 2Q06 sales of €9.8bn, up 22%, and net income of €1.1bn, up 43%.

Qualcomm posts 15% increase in 2Q06 net income to $643m,
