TIM (Telecom Italia Mobile) announced €569m in 1Q05 profit (+15%), EBITDA at € 937m (up 8%), and sales of €2.9bn (up 9.4%).

Cablevision (US) posted a loss of $119m (almost flat) while revenues rose 6% to $ 1.2bn.

NZ Telecom (New Zealand) reported a 12% rise in 1Q05 net profit to $192m, on sales of $1.04bn, up 3.7%. Out of abnormal gains from Telecom's sale of its stake in Intelsat, profitability is falling due to expenses growing faster than revenues.

Echostar announced a net income of $317m (vs. loss) on sales of $2bn, up 28%.
