TIM was rebuffed by the Venezuelan regulator, Conatel, in its attempt to sale Digitel to CANTV, but continues in its strategy to dispose of Venezuelan asset. TI has made a bid for the privatization of 55% of Turk Telekom, but if the deal fails, TIM would consider pulling out of its Turkish mobile joint venture (40% stake in Avea, a joint JV with Turk Telecom).
