Nokia will expand 3G Infrastructure Services AB (3GIS) infrastructure for network coverage and capacity across Sweden. It will also deliver an Intelligent Content Delivery solution to Finnish Saunalahti Group Oyj. Nokia received also a new EDGE order from mobilkom Austria.

 

Alcatel is providing Telefonica Moviles with 3G/UMTS radio systems. It also provides Dobson (US) a mobile next generation network core. The solution is based upon Alcatel's 5020 Spatial Atrium Softswitch. It also announced deals to provide network infrastructure for Cingular Wireless L.L.C. and T-Mobile USA Inc.'s GSM-based networks.

 

IPWireless is rumored to have extended its previously announced relationship with Orange in Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.

 

ZTE won a $95m rural mobile network expansion order from Nigeria's Communications Ministry.

 

Siemens will supply GSM, GPRS technology in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus to Russian wireless operator Mobile TeleSystems.
