A few set of market information released this week:

• According to IDC, Worldwide broadband subscriptions will nearly double to reach 400m in 2010, from 205m at the end of 2005.

• According to Telecom Trends International, the HSDPA infra market would reach $60bn in 2012, or 60% of the total mobile infrastructure revenues.

• A new report by Strategy Analytics unveils that there are more than 100m people worldwide now using WCDMA and CDMA2000 1x EV-DO 3G technologies.

• The UMTS Forum predicts that WCDMA users would reach 100m by the end of the year.

• According to CIR, the market for optical components used in telecom and datacom networks is expected to grow to $6.6bn in 2011, from $1.5bn in 2006.
