Cingular currently has 50.4m subscribers, up 1.4m in the first quarter.

Sprint announced it has 26m subscribers, up 22% in one year.

Telstra reported 8.1m mobile subscribers at the end of 1Q05, and added 246k broadband users.

Neuf Telecom (France) has 540k high-speed DSL users, on a total of 1.9m subscribers.

China Mobile had 214m mobile subscribers at the end of March.

China Unicom reported it added 1.48m new users in March, bringing its total base to 116.4m, of which 87m in GSM and 29.4m in CDMA.

JazzTel (Spain) has added 45,000 new DSL subscribers in the 1Q05 quarter to a total of 50,000.

Brazil: Anatel reported that the country has 68.6m mobile users at the end of March, up 40%. GSM reached a 38% market share, followed by TDMA with 32% and CDMA with 29.4%.

China Telecom added 47.8m subscribers in 1Q05, to reach a total of 195.1m. It also added 1.88m broadband subscrivers to reach a total of 15.7m.
