China Unicom added 1.2m new mobile subscribers in April, bringing its total subscriber base to 133m, of which 98.8m are GSM .

China Telecom added 1.3m new fixed subscribers in April, and brings its total number of local-access subscribers to 216.5m.

China had 416m mobile subscribers at the end of April.
