Operator results - 12/05/06

PLDT (Philippines) announced a 7% decline in 1Q06 net earnings to $ 166m, on revenues of $ 600m.

Bouygues Telecom (France) reported its 1Q06 revenues grew 2% to €1,1bn.

Versatel (NL) posts 1Q06 net loss of €22m (vs profit of €1m), an EBITDA of €14m (down 39%) on revenues of €105m (up 15%).

Swisscom (CH) said its 1Q06 net profit was down 12% to €295m, on sales down 3% to €1.5bn.

Illiad /Free (France) reported that its 1Q06 sales grew 33% to €217m. In one year the stock has more than tripled to €83.

DT announced 1Q06 net profit rose 10% to €1.1bn, on sales up 4% to €14.8bn.

Softbank (Japan) reports a profit in 1Q06. Net income was $358m on sales of $2.7bn (+9%).

Telefonica announced strong 1Q06 results with net income growing 40% to €1.3bn, on revenues soaring 45% to €12bn, as reported.

NTT (Japan) posts 30% fall in fiscal year net income to $4.2bn, on revenues of $91bn. For 2007, NTT forecasts about the same figures.
