Wataniya Telecom (Kuwait) reported revenues of $360m (+44%) in 1Q06, with EBITDA of $160m and a net profit of $38m.
TNZ (New Zealand) reported 9-month net loss of $156m (impacted by a $575m write-off from the book value of AAPT, its Australian unit), and net income of $142m in 1Q06 (down 19%).
Comcel (Colombia) posts 1Q06 net income of $62m (+249%), while revenues grew 60% to $ 432m. EBITDA was $119m, up 100%. ARPU sank 26% to $8.5.
Telecom Italia said its 1Q06 net income rose 13% to €744m, on revenues growing 6.5% to €7.5bn. EBITDA is almost flat at €3.3bn, but margin declined 2 points to 44.6%.
T-Online posted flat net earnings, EBITDA of €89m (+1.6%) on sales advancing 15% to €585m. EBITDA margin declined 2 points to 15.3%.
KPN (NL) announced a 40% rise in first-quarter net profit to €383m, on sales of €2.9bn, up 2%.
Brazil Telecom posted a 1Q06 net profit of $16m (down 26%) on revenues of $1.2bn. EBITDA was flat at $401m.
BASE (Belgium) reported Q1 EBITDA of €58m (+29%) and revenues of €141m (+17%).
Mobilcom (Germany) said its 1Q06 net profit decreased 36% to €18m, EBIT decreased 39% to €27m and revenues grew 16% to €522m.
