Subscriber figures - 03/05/06

India added record 4m GSM new subscribers in March to a total GSM subscriber base of 69.2m.

CANTV (Venezuela) had 5.6m mobile subscribers, up 75%, at the end of March.

Iusacell (Mexico) had 1.9m mobile subscribers at the end of March.

SingTel (Singapore) says its mobile subscriber base reached 85m as of March 31, of which 1.6m in Singapore, 6.5m in Australia through Optus, and 77m through regional affiliates.

Reliance (India) added 3.2m new wireless users (mobile and fixed) in the quarter bringing its total to more than 20m.
