Subscriber figures - 22/04/06

China Mobile added 4.3m users in March to reach a subscriber base of 260.6m at the end of March.

Bellsouth currently has 19.8m access lines, after a decline of 1.2% in 1Q06..

Mobistar (Belgium) had 2.96m mobile subscribers at the end of March.

EarthLink (USA) currently has about 5.3m subscribers.

China Netcom added 2.7m fixed line subscribers in 1Q06, of which 1.1m are broadband. Its subscriber base reached 118m at the end of March.

Etisalat (UAE) said it currently has 4.8m mobile subscribers.
