US telecom services
According to TIA, US telecom services were $311bnin 2005, and are expected to grow to $325bn this year.
Mobile services will continue to gain at the expense of wireline services. Mobile services are growing at double-digit rates to $119bn in 2005, while wireline services fell to $192bn. If broadband fixed services experienced a robust growth, it is not enough to overcome steady losses in consumer wireline voice revenues (pressure from VOIP, loss of long distance revenues, canceling of second lines, mobile phone for children, ,,).
