Subscriber figures - 19/03/06

France Telecom has crossed 1.35m VOIP subscriber base in Europe, of which 1m in France or 41% market share.

Europe (25 countries) has about 226m fixed lines in use and 409m mobile subscribers. Broadband penetration reached 10.6% in mid 2005.

Vodafone passed 10m 3G subscribers worldwide for its Live! 3G service in 16 months, in line with expectation.

Spain currently has 1.5m 3G subscribers and could reach 2.5m by year-end.

Ukraine: mobile phone penetration reached 68% and mobile users number rose to 32m, as of Feb. 06. Kyivstar leads the market with 14.5m users, followed by UMC with 14.2m and Astelit (Turkcell) with 2.8m.

Telemig (Brazil) had 3.3m mobile subscribers at the end of 2005.

MTS (Russia) passed the 60 million customer milestone during February 06, of which 45.5m constitute its consolidated subscriber base.
