A few set of market information released this week:

• Infonetics predicts that worldwide DSL aggregation hardware revenues would grow 65% on the 2005 -09 period to $10.5 bn and that port shipments would hit 204m, from respectively $5.2bn and 82.3m ports. Alcatel, Huawei and Siemens are market leaders.

• Pyramid forecasts that the MVNE recurring revenues could exceed $850m by 2010.

• According to In-Stat, the satellite set top box market reached 65m units in 2005, and could grow to 79 m by 2009.

• 100m RFID tags were shipped in 2005 in China, while In-Stat projects that 2.9bn tags would be shipped by 2009.

• WiMAX equipment market should grow to $1.6bn in 2009, from $142m in 2005, according to Infonetics Research.

• GSA identified 70 network operators who have confirmed interest in deploying HSDPA systems.

• Gartner found that 102m mobile phones (+40%) were sold in LATAM in 2005.

• iSuppli predicts that the global market for mobile-phone premium content, including music, gaming and video, is expected to expand to more than $43bn by 2010, from $5.2bn in 2004.

• In-Stat forecasts that China' s mobile TV users could hit 96m in 2009.
