Cisco has bought SyPixx, an IP video technology start-up, for $51m.

Nortel will restate results for 2003, 2004 and first nine months of 2005. Its accounting woes are not finished, could be due to recognized sales in wrong periods and followed a class-action lawsuit settlement at a cost of $2.5bn in cash and stock. New financial results are expected to be available by April.

RIM purchases Ascendent Systems, a campus mobility solution provider.
