Fixed orders - 10/03/06

Alcatel, Cisco, Ericsson and Fujitsu have received contracts from BT for its 21st Century Network (21CN). Alcatel and Cisco will supply routing and signaling capabilities for voice, data and video services. Ericsson will supply the i-nodes, softswitches and bandwidth management. Fujitsu is providing access.

Ericsson will deliver to Etisalat (UAE) softswitches, media gateways and operations support system for carrier-class IP telephony, and migrate its international switching layer to internet protocol-based solution. It will supply its Mini-Link microwave transmission system to Turk Telecom.

Lucent announced contracts with Great Works Internet (US) and Cavalier Telephone for Ethernet-Over-SONET gear; with Kazakhstan Telecom for a new IP-based next-generation network; with TPSA for DSL gear (Stinger); with T-Com for optical transport network expansion; with T-Systems for upgrading its IP MPLS network; with the US Army in Europe for a new DWDM network; with Russia' s Megafon for a billing solution. Lucent has landed Sprint deal to begin offering hosted business voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) via managed services. It also should have won second-supplier ROADM status (with Movaz equipment) at Verizon Communications.

Alcatel won a new NGN contract with Russian operator Sakhatelecom. It also will provide its 7750 router in T-Com optical next-generation broadband network roll out .

ECI Telecom will deliver its Hi-Focus5 multiservice access gateways and MiniShelf Remote Terminals to T-Com.

Nortel has deployed contact center technology for Ikea.

Tellabs should have won second-supplier ROADM status at ATT.
