According to TIA, U.S. wireless revenues totaled $175bn (+11%) in 2005, of which service revenues grew about 15% to $119bn. Those figures could grow respectively to $265bn, and $180bn by 2009. Handset and device revenues totaled $15bn and could reach $18bn this year. Some 25m new subscribers were added in 005, but TIA expects growth would slow down in coming years to reach 278m users in 2009.
