According to Senza Fili Consulting, WiMAX will quickly dominate the fixed broadband wireless market, but its success in the mobile arena will be slower and more difficult to achieve. 802.16e standard (or WiMAX mobile) would account for about 57% of WiMAX subscribers by 2010, or a total of 15.5m users worldwide. They would generate some $16.5 billion in service revenues. WiMAX is well adapted to be a last-mile solution in emerging countries, such as China, Mexico: 41% of subscribers will be in Asia-Pacific countries. Senza Fili does not see WiMAX as a solution adopted by mobile operators. The future is different for TelecomView that predicts "We forecast that WiMAX will become an important part of mobile networks," and “account for 16%of subscribers and of Capex in high-speed mobile networks in 2011."
