CALA CDMA status:

Central and Latin America region is the second most important region in the world, behind Asia, for CDMA 2000 1X and 1X EV-DO. With about 40% of the world 1X EV-DO networks, Latam account for 10 CDMA 2000 1X EV-DO networks deployed in 2005 and Central America for one. There are also 30 CDMA 2000 1X deployed, of which 5 new deployed in 2005 in Latam. CDMA holds approximately 25% in Latam, vs 47% for GSM.
