Nokia won Pannon’s GSM network expansion and the deployment of a 3G UMTS core

national network. It also gained a new TETRA order from Turin Municipality (Italy).

Alcatel will upgrade T-Mobile network in The Netherlands with its Optical Multi-Service

Node (OMSN) solution.

Lucent announced CDMA2000 1x-EV-DO with Caymanone and T-Systems. It will provide

3G gear (mainly PacketStar® (PSAX) 4500 Multiservice Media Gateways) and software to

Telefonica Moviles in Spain.

ZTE wins in Algeria and supplies GSM network to ATM Mobilis.

Ericsson will be the sole supplier of the core EDGE network upgrade for the Avea

network in Turkey.
