ZTE has become a global supplier of ADSL equipment to France Telecom.

 

SkyStream Networks announced seven IPTV contracts in Europe. One of the contracts

is with SiOL in Slovenia.

 

Comverse has received an order from Telefonica Moviles Peru for its voice mail and

multimedia messaging service center.

 

Siemens has received a € 100m Intelligent Networks technology (IN) order from Telkomsel

(Indonesia).

 

Motorola won a $1bn cable set-top boxes order through 2009 from Comcast.

 

Lucent signed a broadband deal with Telekomunikacja Polska (TP) in Poland. It has

completedits pilot project KONTIP with T-Com on VOIP. It also will deploy a VOIP solution

for Enterprise Digital Architects in Italy. Telecom Italia also selected Lucent for IP Centrex

and VoIP services. It will supply its LambdaUnite switch and Navis OMS to Global Crossing.

China National Petroleum, China Petroleum and Chemical and China National Offshore

Oil will use Lucent VOIP, services, optical network, and data services. Lucent also

announced it has been awarded an optical ethernet contract from COLT.

 

AOL has selected Sonus to deploy a VOIP solution.

 

NTT-ME has expanded its network with Juniper’s T-series core routing platforms.

 

NEC will supply its new microwave "PASOLINK" systems to Globacom (Africa).

 

Alcatel is providing its soft-switches and media gateways for upgrading the telecom

network of Ewe Tel in Germany. Also in Germany, Alcatel will supply its open service

delivery platform to Arcor (Vodafone group).

 

Airspan will build a WiMAX network in Japan under a $12m order with Yozan and will cover

Tokyo.

 

Italtel won Fastweb’ network infrastructure control and management contract in Italy.
