KDDI (Japan) reported a 26% drop in 4Q05 earnings at $493m. Revenues increased 5% to $6.6bn. KDDI maintained its guidance for its fiscal year (March) in profit, but lifted its revenue forecast by 2%.

SK Telecom (S. Korea) recorded 4Q05 earnings of $457m (up 29%), on sales of $2.7bn, up 6%. Operating income surged 10% to $669m. Full year results were $10bn+ on sales (+25%) and $1.9bn earnings.

Bellsouth announced its 4Q05 net profit fell by 54% to $618m. Revenues rose 2% to $5.2bn, excluding Cingular. Consolidated revenues were $8.7bn (+9%) while net income rose 34% to $965m. Bellsouth said results were impacted by hurricane-related expenses in the fourth quarter.

CTC (Chile) posted $48m in 2005 net profit, up 300% excluding one-off gain from the sale of its mobile assets, on 2005 sales of $483m,down 20%.

AT&T reported better than expected results. Net income totaled $1.7bn and revenues reached $13bn. Wireline revenues ($9.4bn) continues growing (+1.3%) driven by DSL operations, but former AT&Tpro forma business revenue declined 8.3%. AT&T has 6.9m DSL lines. It generates $4.6bn in cash from operations in 4Q05.

Vodafone reported 8% organic growth in total proportionate mobile revenue,

Verizon announced pretty good revenue growth (+5.8%) at $19.3bn and net earnings declining 45% to $1.7bn.

Maroc Telecom (Morocco) reports 4Q05 revenues of €479m (+17%) and 2005 revenues rising 8% to €1.9bn.
