Nokia won a contract for Push to Talk over Cellular from China Mobile (Fujian Mobile). It also got a WCDMA+ HSDPA order from Smart (Philippines)

Axalto has been selected by QoCoMo to supply USIM cards, allowing the use of PDC network in Japan and WCDMA and GSM networks.

InterDigital Communications announced the availability of an integrated, standards-compliant, dual-mode 2G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) and 3G (UMTS) protocol stack for integration into mobile terminal devices.

Huawei got an order from African operator Sotelma to deploy a wireless network. It also secured a W-CDMA contract with Indonesian mobile operator PT Natrindo Telepon Seluler.
