Huawei announced its orders were $8.2bn in 2005 (+47%) and it serves 28 of the top 50 global carriers. It now plans orders target for 2006 at $12bn (and enter into the top 5 competitors ranking). Overseas orders contributed 58% to 2005 orders, and reached $4,8bn (+110%). 2005 sales were at $5,6bn, up 46%.

According to analysts, Lucent is suffering more from a 'challenged' product portfolio than an industry slowdown. Lucent, last week, made a warning revenue announcement.

Sony Ericsson reports 4Q05 net profit of €144m (up 160%) and sales of €2,3bn (+15%). Sony Ericsson has shipped 16m+ handsets in the quarter (+28%). Full year net income rose 12% to €356m, while sales increased 11% to €7.3bn. Sony Ericsson said it has sold 3m Walkman branded phones since the launch in 08/05. With 51m units shipped in 2005 (+20%), it has a 6%+ market share.

IBM reports 4Q05 sales of $24,4bn (down 12%), of which $12bn in services(-5%), $5,1bn in software (+1%) and $7,2bn in hardware (+7%). Net income grew 13% to $ 3,2bn. IBM holds a 33% market share of enterprise server market.

Intel reports quarterly results below expectations. Net income grew 19% to $2,5bn, while sales increased 6% to $10,2bn.

Apple announced a 4Q05 profit of $565m (+100%) and revenues of $5,8bn, up 64%. Apple has sold some 14m iPod in the quarter. But Apple announced a revenue warning for 1Q06.

Ebay reports $ 279m in quarterly earnings (+36%) and sales of $1,3bn (+42%).

AMD reports 4Q05 earnings of $96m and sales of $1,84bn (+45%).
