Motorola is providing a trial 3G network for TMN (Portugal).

Nokia has inked a GSM/EDGE network deal with Telecom Personal in Argentina. It gained a TETRA contract from Abu Dhabi police (UAE).

Alcatel has signed a $133m GSM expansion and 3G upgrade deal with TA Orange (Thailand). It will also supply Telefonica Moviles in Chile with its video streaming solution.

Ericsson signed a CDMA 1x infrastructure $26m deal with Indian Shyam Telecom. It also got a contract for systems integration and an end-to-end service delivery solution from TCC (Taiwan).

Nortel received EDGE network expansion contract from Orange Slovensko in Slovakia. It will supply a 3G network, as well as a national packet data network to Sparq, a Far-Eastern Group company.

LogicaCMG will supply its NG SMSC (short message service center) to Telemig Cellular (Brazil).

CSG is supplying additional Data Mediation OSS to Alltel to support new customers and services.
