Ciena announced its FY1Q05 revenues of $95m, up 43% yoy; revenue split was: broadband access at $15.3m, data networking at $16.6m, transport & switching at $ 50.4m and global network services at $ 12.4m. During the quarter, the operating loss was $ 56.7m and net loss was $57m (from loss of $76.7m one-year ago).

Cap Gemini posted 2004 revenues of €6.3bn, up 2.7%, and an operating income of €58m, while net loss € 359m (vs. loss of €197m in 2003). The group, however, is relatively optimistic as 2H04 was marked by strong improvement and 12% growth rate in sales.

Tekelec reported 4Q04 revenues of $116m, up 55% yoy, and net income of $13.3m, up 82%. Full year revenues were $397m, up 50%, with net income of $ 37.6m, up 100%. Signaling accounts for 68% of revenues, switching for 17.5%, IEX contact center for 10% and software for 4.5%.
