Telefonica Moviles reported 4Q04 net income of €277m, down 21%, an operating profit of € 666m, down 11%, and an EBITDA of €1.17bn, up 7%. 4Q04 revenues rose 30% to €3.6bn. TEM ended 2004 with some 78.2m subscribers, of which 56.5m are in Latam.

 

Telesp (Brazil) posted 4Q04 net profit of € 194m, up 7%, on revenues of € 946m, up 8%, and EBITDA of € 437m, up 23%.

 

Cosmote (Greece) announced 2004 net profit of €303m, up 20%, on revenues of €1.6bn, up 17%.

 

MCI: 4Q04 revenues were $ 5bn, down 10%, operating income was $434m (vs. loss), and net loss was $32m. For the year, revenues were $ 20.7bn, down 15%, and operating loss was $ 3.2bn.

 

TDC (Denmark) reported 4Q04 net profit of € 125.4m, EBITDA of €442m, up 5%, and revenues of €1.55bn, up 8.3%.

 

COLT (UK) posted 2004 revenues of £1.2bn, up 7%, EBITDA of £154m, down 6%, and pre-tax loss of £115m (reduced by 15%). 2004 capex declined 11.5% to £125m.

 

Telecom Italia reports 2004 revenues of €31.2bn, up 1.3%. TIM, its mobile arm, posted net profit flat at € 2.35bn, on revenues of €12.9bn, +10%. EBITDA was up 10% to €6bn.

 

Belgacom’s net profit rose to €922m on sales of € 5.54bn, up 1.6%; EBITDA rose 6% to € 2.4bn. Its mobile arm, Proximus, posted an EBITDA of € 1.13bn, up 1.9%.

 

Telekom Malaysia announced an 88% increase in 2004 net profit to $687m (impacted by the disposal of remaining shares in Telkom South Africa).

 

OTE (Greece) posted 4Q04 revenues down 1.5%, OIBDA of € 331m, and net profit of €20m, down 74%.
