Japan: DoCoMo announced 10m 3G FOMA users; main growth drivers are videophone functions and a wider range of 3G handsets.

Brazil: mobile customers reached 66m at the end of January, up 42% yoy.

China:  China Mobile added 3.2m new subscribers in January, and China Unicom added 1.44m new users. MII says penetration would reach about 30% at year-end.

Venezuela: mobile users exceeded 8.4m at the end of 2004, up 20% yoy.
