Mobile contracts - 29/10/07

Apple sold 1.4m iPhone up to now, with almost 1.1m units in 3Q07.

NSN signed a series of contracts, worth €450m, with T-Mobile, for managed services and equipment. It won a GSM-R order from China' s Hefei-Nanjing Line.

Brazil approves Telefonica deal to buy a controlling stake, with Italian partners, in Telecom Italia, but set the condition that Telefonica and TIM maintain separate mobile operations in Brazil. They were given six months to present a plan showing they would do so.

ALU has signed a contract with VNPT (Vietnam) for optical equipment. It signed a $55m contract with Cellular South (US) for mobile gear.
