Vendor results - 19/11/05

HP announced 7% growth in 3Q05 revenues to $22,9bn, but net income fell 62% mainly due to a huge provision of $1,6bn for covering re-organization costs. PC unit reports sales up 9% to $7,1bn, with an operating income of $200m. Store & Servers unit posts 10% growth in revenues to $4,5bn and a operational income of $405m. The Software division said its revenues topped $311m, up 11%, while income turned back in the black with $27m income. Services division revenues, however, fell 6% to $3,9bn and its income declined 14% to $27m. The Printing division reports revenues down 4% to $6,8bn and operating income at $896m (-19%).

Huawei has realized $6bn in 9-month revenues, of which 62% overseas.
