Operator results - 23/10/05
Etisalat (UAE) reported 22% increase in revenues to $2.6bn, 19% increase in operating income to $817m.
Colt (UK) revenues dropped 1.5% to £312m in 3Q05, while net loss was £19m (vs loss of £35m).
China Telecom reported 9-month revenues of $14.7bn, up 6.4%.
SBC announced its 3Q05 net profit is down 40% to $1.25bn, while revenues are almost flat at $10.3bn.
Level3 saw its 3Q05 net loss widening almost 20% to $204m and revenues fell 14% to $799m. Communications revenue was $364m, down 14% and Information services revenue rose 6% to $415m.
KDDI posted FYH1 (end in Sept.) net profit up 30% to $923m, its operating income up 3% to $1.5bn, on revenues of $ 13.4bn almost flat. Its mobile business reported sales up 10%, operating income up 29% and its subscriber base reached 20.7m, up 14%.
Brazil Telecom announced a net loss of $11m (vs profit of $37.7m) and net sales of $1.14bn, up 9%. Its EBITDA dropped 24% to $330m.
China Mobile announced net profit of $4.5bn in the nine months, up 28%, on revenues of $21.7bn, up 28%. EBITDA grew 23%.
SBC reports 3Q05 earnings of $1.2bn on sales of $10.3bn (wireline accounts for $9.4bn), almost flat.
