Nortel has landed a new contract for SK Telecom (South Korea) for HSDPA rollout, with commercial launch of HSDPA following in early 2006.
Huawei will provide 200 base stations and equipment worth $12.5m to Unitel (Uzbekistan). The operator plans to invest $150m in network in 2005-2007.
Intellisync announced its selection by Cantv Movilnet, the largest wireless carrier in Venezuela, to supply its email and synchronization platform.
Ericsson garnered a 3G 1m-line mobile network expansion with Al Madar, Lybia. It will also supply Vodafone Fiji with its Mobile Softswitch solution and a 3G UMTS upgrade, under a $15m pact. It also won a 3G radio network deal with Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (Poland).
Motorola won a 3G UMTS contract with Andorran operator, Servei de Telecomunicacions d'Andorra (STA).
Nokia has signed an agreement with CTi Movil Argentina to expand its GSM and EDGE networks in Argentina. It will trial its Fixed Mobile convergence solutions with Telemar Oi in Brazil.
