• According to In-Stat, Bluetooth continues its own way doubling again Bluetooth-enabled product shipments. 2005 shipments are forecast to be 316m units, and could rise to 866m units by 2009. But competition is growing from USB and Wi-Fi, and needs constant adaptation. A new version of Bluetooth chip (version 2.0 + Enhanced Data Rate (EDR)) will be available in 2H05.

• Telepia reports that 64% of all games downloaded in Q2 2005 are revenue-generating purchases while the remaining 36% are free.

• Cisco has sold its six-millionth Internet Protocol (IP) phone worldwide.
