Vodafone Spain announced 225,000 Vodafone live! 3G handsets sold as of the end of August.

Verizon is on track to post another record quarter of net additions and to lower its churn. Growth could be at the expense of Sprint Nextel, according to Merrill Lynch. Merrill Lynch maintains estimates of net additions for Cingular and T-Mobile USA.

China Mobile reported its subscriber additions: it added 3.6m new subscribers in August. the company had 60.847 million contract subscribers and 170.158 million prepaid users at the end of August.

T-Mobile USA passes the 20m customer milestone.

Argentina: 585k residential broadband connections (+97%) at the end of June 2005.

UK: number of U.K. broadband lines now at 8m.
