Motorola is bolstering its suite of network services to offer multivendor services that help operators expand application offerings, manage and optimize networks. It also announced that its Networks division is launching Motorola Applications Hosting Services, including content and application sourcing, data services delivery and data services management. Motorola also expanded its MOTOwi4 wireless broadband backhaul portfolio, adding carrier-grade Canopy backhaul products, including a WiMAX-compatible solution.

OnAir, the inflight passenger communications company, announced it will use Inmarsat's SwiftBroadband service and Thales' satellite communications system.
