Chunghwa Telecom (Taiwan) posted 2004 sales of $ 5.8bn, up 2%, and a net profit of $1.6bn (+3%).

Cingular Wireless: 2004 sales of $ 19.4bn, up 25.5% and operating income of $ 1.5bn (down 33.5%). Net income was $ 226m (down 78%). Cingular currently has 49.1m mobile subscribers. ARPU declined 4% to $ 49.3.

SBC posted full year revenues of $40.8bn (almost flat) and net income of $ 6bn, down 30%. 4Q04 wireline revenues grew 3.6% to $9.3bn, long distance revenues rose 23% to 868m and data revenues grew 10% to $2.9bn. 4Q04 net income was $ 754m, down 17%.

C&W 4Q04 results: sales were at £808m, down 4%.

Verizon posted strong results: 4Q04 revenues rose 6% to $18.3bn and FY revenues rose 6% to         $ 71.3bn. Operating income was $ 3.3bn in 4Q04 and $ 13.1bn full year, up 77%. FY net income rose 154% to $ 7.8bn. Revenues from domestic fixed line operations declined 2.7% to $38.6bn. Verizon Wireless contributed $28bn about 40% to total revenues, while its EBITDA margin rose to 42%. Data revenues rose 7.4% to $7.8bn, and long distance revenues rose 10% to $4.2bn.

Bellsouth reported 4Q04 revenues at $5.1bn (flat) (but normalized revenues grew 19% to $7.9bn including Cingular-AWE merger impact). 4Q04 earnings rose 87% to $1.47bn due to the sale of its Latin America operations (normalized earnings declined in fact 25% to $ 640m). 

Kazakhtelecom posted revenues up 21% to 613m and net profit of $ 21m, up 51%.

America Movil (Mexico) reported and it has 58.3m mobile subscribers.

KDDI posted net profit up 25% to $1.5bn on revenues of $ 21.3bn (+4%). Operating income rose 3% to $2.36bn and Capex will rose about 10% to $ 3.3bn next year.
