• Enterprises around the world are going IP according to Infonetics. IP systems account for more than 50% of new systems sales and are expected to make up 92% of new PBX sales by 2008, or a total of $9bn, growing from $6.1bn in 2004. VOIP business would grow to $.8bn by 2008, from $1.7 bn in 2004. Worldwide, Alcatel is the top IP PBX system vendor based on worldwide lines shipped, followed by Nortel, Avaya, Cisco, and Mitel Networks.
