India reaches 47.3 m mobile subscribers at the end of 2004, of which 37.4m GSM and 9.9m true CDMA cellular users. India forecasts teledensity of 25% by 2010 (from 8.2% in 2004).

Reliance Infocom (India) announced 10.3m users on its CDMA WLL network.

Rogers Wireless reached 5.5m mobile subscribers (including about 1.3m from the acquisition of Microcell Telecom), adding 479,000 new subscribers in 2004.

Telkomsel (Indonesia) said its subscriber base grew by 67% to 16 m mobile users in 2004.

Telefonica has now 2.6m broadband users, up 56%.

MTS (Russia) has 34.2m mobile subscribers, of which 26.5m in Russia.

Russia: total mobile users reached 74m at the end of 2004.

E-Plus (Germany) has some 9.5+ m customers.

DoCoMo added 247k new users in Dec. to a total of 47.9m (of which 8.5m 3G users). KDDI added a net 242k users in the month, to a total of 18.8m (of which 16.8m 3G users). Vodafone KK added only 900 new users to a total of 15.2m (of which 366K 3G users).

China: plan to add 58m new mobile subscribers in 2005.
