Nortel finally reported 2003, 2002 and 2001 results. 2003 profits were $ 434m (rather than $ 732m previously announced), while revenues were increased to $10.2bn. For 2002, the restated net loss was $3 billion, on revenue of $11.bn. For 2001, Nortel's net loss was $25.7bn, on revenue of $18.9 bn.
Huawei reported that 2004 sales were up 45% to $5.6bn, of which domestic sales grew 18% to $ 3.3bn and export sales were $ 2.3bn, up 117%. Huawei has launched an expansion pan to increase the overseas sales to over $10bn by 2008.
ZTE reported 2004 sales to be at $ 4.1bn (up 35%), of which $ 1.6 bn in export.
Samsung posted $13.3bn in sales and $ 1.7bn in profit during 4Q04, and $ 55bn in sales and $ 10.3bn in full-year 2004.The telecom division reported 4Q04 sales at $ 4.1bn.
