Operator results - 28/08/07

China Unicom reports a 24% profit slide in 1H07 to $280m, on revenues climbing 5% to $6.5bn.

Hutchison Telecom International posted 1H07 net profit of $9.1bn (including $8.8bn from the sale of its stake in India-based operator Essar to Vodafone), and EBITDA of $359m, up 15%.

Telekom Austria reported 1H07 revenues of €2.3bn, up 1%, and net income of €278m, up 2.5%. EBITDA declined by 4% to €940m. Capex jumped 38% to €378m, due to launching operations in Serbia and Macedonia.
