DT announced 1H07 revenues of €31bn, up .5%, and adjusted EBITDA of €9.6bn, down 2%. Its 2Q07 net profit was down 40% to €608m on sales of €15.6, up 3%.
T-Mobile USA 181 posts strong growth. 2Q07 revenues grew 13% to $4.8bn, and net income jumped 5°% to $ 350m. ARPU improved $1 to $53, as well as data ARPU. Churn was significantly reduced and T-Mobile US is always ranked best for customer care. It added 857k new customers in the quarter, to reach a total of 27m subscribers.
Turkcell (Turkey) announced 2Q07 results: revenues increased 29% to $1.5bn; EBITDA increased 29% to $597m; net income jumped 215% to $274m. The subscriber base reached almost 34m (+4m) and ARPU grew 13% to $14.
FT said its 1H07 revenues grew 2% to €26bn, helped by strong performance in emerging markets, while in Europe performance is poor. Emerging markets account now for 13% of operations (+ 3 points) and revenues there grew about 16%. WE revenues were flat. Net profit rose to €3.3bn (+40%).
Neuf Cegetel (France) reports 1H07 EBITDA is up 30% to €331m, on revenues of €1.6bn, up 11%. The given figures include new acquisitions of AOL and Club-Internet. The growth is also driven by better-than-anticipated ARPU to €35 at year-end.
