Mobile vendor strategies - 30/05/07

Nokia China plans to sell 3G TD-SCDMA handsets in China in 1H08. It has finished building its new China Headquarters in Beijing- Yizhuang for about $458m (including a R&D center and a manufacturing plant.

Nokia Taiwan has a local market share of about 30% and Nokia plans to produce about 2m handsets this year.

RIM will launch a WiFi- enabled Blackberry device later this year.

One97 (India) and HP plan to set up a 3G telecom and technology laboratory in India.
