A few set of market information released this week:

• In-Stat found that 120m broadband CPE devices were shipped in 2006, up 20%, led by shipments in the cable modem segment.

• Another In-Stat study said that the WiMAX chipset market (300k units in 2006) is rapidly turning to mobile WIMAX, and will grow to 21m units by 2011.

• According to Infonetics Research, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) capex of service providers reached €59bn in 2006, up 7%, on revenues of about €400bn (+3%).

• According to ABI Research, worldwide Wi-Fi hotspots would grow by nearly 25%, to 179,500, in 2007.

• According to OCDE, the number of broadband subscribers grew by 26% to 197m in OCDE countries in 2006.
