ALU has won a contract from SFR (France) to deploy UMTS/HSDPA equipment in France. In addition, ALU and SFR have signed a strategic technology deal, allowing SFR to access ALU' s 3G competence center based in France.

Ericsson will upgrade MTN Uganda mobile network under a $52m deal. It also won Vodafon oursourcing order to manage the spare parts divisions for its mobile networks across several of its major European companies. It has received a $100m contract from MTS (Russia) for network upgrading.

ZTE has received contracts (probably worth $1.5bn) from China Mobile for deploying the country's first TD-SCDMA network.

Datang has received about $1bn orders from China Mobile, including the Alcatel Shanghai Bell part.

Amdocs is delivering its Service Mediation Manager 7 to Partner Comms in Israel.
