The two German giants, T-Mobile and D2, use to be European leaders for years, have been driven back to third and fourth place respectively by TIM and Turkcell, and it is anticipated that Turkcell will be installed in the driver seat before the end of the year. The other major change comes in the bottom of the ranking with Kyivstar gaining two seats and bumping down TME, while another Ukrainian entering the ranking in ninth position, ousting SFR, very closed to O2 UK. So the tenth seat will be hot in 2007, as the UK is a much more mature mobile market than France, and SFR will likely benefit from stronger demand in France.
